Meet the Family

Tim and Kathy Cooper

Tim and Kathy married in 1983 and founded Cooper Farms. As their business grew so did their family. Their two kids, Ben and Elizabeth were born in the early 90’s and worked alongside them in the business growing up. Tim and Kathy grew the farm to over 250 acres and had several greenhouses where they raised tomatoes. As their kids became old enough, they started taking over different aspects of the business. Presently, Tim and Kathy are retired, stepping back and enjoying some well-deserved time off, but are still available for advice and guidance.

Elizabeth Johnson

Owner/Store and Roadside Manager/ Wholesaler

Elizabeth grew up working in the business and knew she always wanted to continue what her parents had started. She married Brady Johnson in 2014 and graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Horticulture in 2015. Brady and Elizabeth have started growing a family as they continue to grow the farm and business. She manages the Cooper Farms Country Store as well as the seasonal roadside stand locations. Elizabeth also wholesales our peaches and other crops to grocery stores including HEB and Central Market.

Brady Johnson

Brady started working on the farm in 2010 when he met Elizabeth in high school. With the counsel of Tim’s experience, Brady worked hard to learn the day-to-day operations of the farm all while receiving an education at Texas A&M University. He married Elizabeth in 2014 and graduated with a degree in Horticulture in 2015. He is now leasing the farming operation from Tim and Kathy. Brady is excited to continue the farm that Tim started and become a next generation farmer. Brady is committed to growing the very best produce for Cooper Farms customers.

Clay Holifield

Accountant/ Office Manager

Clay has worked for Cooper Farms since 2012. He has worked his way up through the company and become a great friend. Clay started out picking peaches, then moved to selling on the roadside and finally took an office position. Clay graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors in Accounting and now is keeping the books for Cooper Farms. Clay still works in all aspects of the business today and does everything from helping on the farm, delivering peaches to grocery stores, working in the Country Store, reconciling bank statements, and answering customer phone calls. Clay can do it all!

The Farm

Today, Cooper Farms is over 250 acres of peaches and grows many other crops such as Blackberries, Figs, Plums, Nectarines, White Flesh Peaches, Donut Peaches, Watermelons, Pecans and Pickling Cucumbers.
